Pathologies

As in the rest of the body, tumors can develop in the brain, arising from the accelerated multiplication of abnormal cells.
Some tumors, in particular the ones that develop in the ventricles of the brain and particularly affecting children, can easily induce hydrocephalus by obstructing the draining of CSF.
Despite removing the tumor, hydrocephalus may continue and will make it necessary to be fitted with a valve for life.
